Important Notes:-

  • In case of non-callable deposits Premature withdrawal is not allowed.
  • In the case of senior citizens, an additional interest of 0.50% is available.
  • Canara Bank gives 6.70 % p.a. for the Canara Tax Saver Deposit scheme for the General Public. The maximum deposit accepted by the bank is Rs 1.50 Lakh. An additional rate of interest is 0.60% for a Super Senior Citizen who is above 80 years.
  • Although a penalty of 1.00% shall be charged by the bank in case of premature closure, or premature extension of Domestic/NRO deposits of less than Rs.2 Crore that are accepted /renewed on or after 12.03.2019.
  • For NRO the fixed deposit rates are the same as applicable to Domestic Term Deposit.

Important Notes:-

  • In case of non-callable deposits Auto Renewal facility is not available.
  • A penalty of 1.00% is waived in case of premature closure, premature extension of Domestic/NRO CALLABLE term deposit of Rs. 2 Crore & above that are accepted on or after 12.03.2019.
  • A penalty of 1.00% shall be charged for premature withdrawal, and premature extension of Domestic/NRO term deposits of Rs.1 Crore & above that are renewed from 04.02.2011 to 12.10.2012.
  • For NRO the fixed deposit rates is same as applicable to Domestic Term Deposit.
